Merry Men are on their way!

Robin Hood, Maid Marian and the Sheriff of Gamlingay are coming to a pantomime near you!

Gamlingay Players will be performing Jan Cooper’s version of Babes in the Wood this weekend.

Dick and Dora have been left in the care of their wicked uncle, the sheriff. Will he kill them before their father, King Richard, returns from the crusades or will his evil plan be thwarted by Robin Hood and his Merry Men?

Performances will take place at the Ecohub tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm, tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and on Sunday at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £7.50 for concessions and £5 for children. A family ticket costs £25.

Milton Keynes Theatre’s pantomime, Cinderella, begins tonight. Cinderella features a glittering combination of everything a traditional pantomime could wish for, a handsome prince, an enchanting fairy godmother, the boo-able ugly sisters and the unsung hero Buttons.

Tonight at Bedford Corn Exchange you can hear Bedford Hospital Choir and Bedford Brass as they present their 23rd annual Christmas Cracker Carol Concert.

The evening will include traditional community carols, concert renditions of Christmas music both old and new and the ever popular festive sing-along.

Proceeds will go to St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger.

It starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 for adults, £6 for concessions and £3 for children.

Then on Sunday Bedford Salvation Army will present The Joy of Christmas at the same venue at 5pm. There will be carols accompanied by the brass band. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £2 for children.
