Rivalry, love and jealousy with writers

A LIVELY comedy lifts the lid off a group of amateur writers and poets.

Write About What You Know tells the tale of a monthly writing group that meets to discuss writing, exchange tips and seek mutual encouragement.

But closer examination of the disparate group of writers reveals a whirlwind of love affairs, petty jealousy, rivalry and literary one-upmanship.

This is punctuated with readings of excruciatingly funny amateur penmanship, with everybody encouraged to draw on their own very different experiences to write about what they know.

The play, which was written by Paul Gisby, will be performed by the Gamlingay Players tonight (Friday, March 16) and tomorrow (Saturday, March 17).

Performances start at 7.45pm each night.

The hilarity will take place at Gamlingay First School and tickets are available on the door.

They cost £7.50 for adults and £5 for concessions.
