Thrilling Think Floyd Experience

Pink Floyd tribute band, Think Floyd, will rock Stevenage Concert Hall tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm.

The production features the whole range of classic Pink Floyd from early Syd Barrett through Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here to The Division Bell. Tickets cost £20.50 from 01438 363200.

Two choirs will perform pieces from the Romantic musical era.

East Bedfordshire Chamber Choir, which rehearses at Caldecote Lower School, is joining forces with Bedford singers, Cantamus.

The main work will be Rheinberger’s Mass in Eb for unaccompanied double chorus. They will perform pieces by Bruckner and Mendelssohn as well.

The concert is on Saturday, March 15 at 7.30pm in St Paul’s Church in Bedford.

On Saturday, March 29 Biggleswade and District Choral Society will perform another piece by Rheinberger, this time his Mass in C

The choir will be accompanied by East Bedfordshire Chamber Orchestra and an organist. Other pieces include Beethoven’s Choral Fantasia and Rutter’s This is the Day. The latter was sung at the royal wedding.

The concert, which will feature local soloists, will start at 7.30pm in St Andrew’s Church in Biggleswade.

The Peregrine Recorder Orchestra of Ickwell will give a concert on Saturday, April 26. A Musical Evening To Remember will also feature the Double Take barbershop quartet.

The concert will be in Upper Caldecote Methodist Church at 7.30pm.

Proceeds will go to St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger and the church funds.
