Following a triumphant West End season, Mike Leigh’s play, Abigail’s Party, is coming to Cambridge Arts Theatre.

Beverly and her estate agent husband Laurence have invited round new neighbours Tony and Ange and nervous divorcee Sue, who is twitchy about her teenage daughter Abigail’s party across the road.

The social get together from hell is about to begin. As Beverly plies the guests with alcohol, cigarettes, Demis Roussos and nibbles, this horribly compelling evening descends into drunkenness and debauchery.

It stars Hannah Waterman, who played Laura Beale in Eastenders.

Abigail’s Party will be performed at Cambridge Arts Theatre from Monday, February 11 to Saturday, February 16.

Shows are at 7.45pm each evening with additional 2.30pm matinees on the Thursday and Saturday.

Tickets cost from £15 to £30 plus a £2.50 booking fee. They are available from the box office on 01223 503333.
