New science block taking shape at Biggleswade's Stratton Upper
It’s been a very busy time for Ipswich-based builders, ISG, who promised that once the foundations were laid, the Biggleswade school would see very rapid progress
Using state-of-the-art building techniques, utilising pre-prepared components, the internal supporting structures of the mammoth building have been quickly assembled giving staff and students the first opportunity to truly appreciate the scale of the work.

Peter Riley, Head of Science, added: “The opportunity to be involved in the design of a new block is at best something that happens only once in a career, but for most science teachers never at all.
“When it is finished Stratton will have the best science facilities of any school in the area.”
The 13 laboratory facility remains on schedule, and is due to be handed over to the school at the end of the year.
