College pupils at a school in Biggleswade have been told to self-isolate after a person tested positive for Covid-19.

Joe Creswick, headteacher at Ivel Valley School on Hitchmead Road, sent a message to parents on September 20 after a person in the college 'bubble' was confirmed to have coronavirus.

In a later message, Mr Creswick stated: "All pupils who attend the college need to remain at home until further notice.Your child should not leave the house and should not mix with anyone from outside the household.

"We are seeking advice from the Department for education about how long this will be for but it will be up to 14 days."

Other household members do not need to self-isolate and can continue to go to school or work if they do not have symptoms.
