New development Chamomile Gardens offers independent living for over-55s with shared ownership or social rent
Chamomile Gardens has been built to help relax into retirement, with your own private balcony or terrace and beautifully landscaped gardens which are perfect for socialising.
There is also an on-site restaurant, hairdresser and cinema room and you can take advantage of the many organised activities on offer.
If you’ve got friends or family visiting and need a little more room, they can stay at the guest suite which can be booked for a small charge.
Downsizing
Downsizing to a smaller home can be daunting, so Chamomile Gardens’ contemporary apartments are designed to make the most of space and need little maintenance.
Each modern apartment has been planned with the future in mind. There are lifts to all floors and the building is accessible to wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility. There is also on-site mobility scooter storage and a charging area, to give you the freedom to explore the market town.
The development is designed to make things as easy as possible. Communal areas are light and beautifully furnished. Kitchens come with integrated and well-placed appliances, including an oven with extractor fan, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The spa bathrooms, designed as wet rooms, all have level access showers. As well as cosy electric heating, stylish flooring is also included throughout, meaning it’s one less thing to worry about when moving in.
The apartments are just over a mile from the market square at Biggleswade, with shops and services nearby.
Peace of mind
With support staff on duty in the building 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can also access tailored care packages from the on-site care team Care is Central, in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council. Care might include help with shopping, preparing meals and personal care.
If you don’t need care and support but want to plan for the future, Chamomile Gardens is an ideal way of having your own home without worrying about what the future holds. For couples, it can also enable you to continue living together, even if one needs extra care.
Your needs will be assessed to make sure that your care is personalised to your requirements. The aim is to provide a flexible, affordable service. Services will be charged as required and costs will vary according to the amount of care needed.
