Pet project at show

A CELEBRITY vet will be hosting a health roadshow for dogs at this year’s Bedfordshire County Show.

Joe Inglis – who starred in the BBC’s Vets in Practice show and was the resident vet on Blue Peter – will also be judging the dog show at the event at Old Warden Park tomorrow (Saturday, July 9) and Sunday.

The Dogz World Dog Show is being organised by dog grooming and pets supply store Country Clips in Potton, and there will be prizes on offer for winners.

There will also be Country Clips grooming displays, nail clipping and micro-chipping, pet charity displays and trade stands.

Joe Inglis – who has also appeared as a media vet on the BBC’s The One Show and ITV’s Daybreak and This Morning – will be offering advice on dog issues like weight control, joint mobility, digestive and skin problems from a purpose-built trailer.

The annual two-day family event will also include a variety of other attractions and activities, including clay shooting, archery and falconry.

A field sports arena, meanwhile, will include displays from a range of different countryside acts.

The show will be open to the public from 9.30am to 6pm on both days, and there will be free parking.

Tickets can be bought on arrival and will be £9 for adults and £4.50 for five to 16-year-olds. Admission is free for under fives. For more information contact 07850 195622.
