A cut above the rest!

AN award-winning Potton food company has picked up another accolade in a competition.

York House Meat Products was awarded a third place prize in the Fresh Pork Cut category of the BPEX Foodservice Pork Product of the Year Competition 2011.

The firm, based in Shannon Place, was given the award for its Pork Loin Steak with Sticky Fruit Stuffing, and picked up a further four gold awards and five silver awards for the products it entered.

The competition is held in high esteem by the food industry, rewarding excellence and ensuring that quality pork dishes continue to secure their place on today’s menus.

More than 130 products were submitted by chefs, butchers and manufacturers to the foodservice industry across six categories.
