All things bright and beautiful in Henlow

A CHURCH was bedecked by beautiful flowers in celebration of its milestone anniversary.

There have now been Methodists in Henlow for 100 years and the church’s congregation, as well as other Henlow groups, marked the occasion with a flower festival at the weekend.

The theme was the well known hymn, All Things Bright and Beautiful, and each arrangement represented a different line from the piece.

Committee member, Clifford Larman, said: “We had The River Running By with water running by and The Purple Headed Mountain.

“The young ones did With Eyes To See Them and Lips To Tell. They had a flower arrangement and within it the children made eyes and lips and signed their names. The play group each made a flower and incorporated it in.”
