Amnesty will be juice right for spare fruit

DOES fruit lie rotting beneath your garden’s apple tree year after year?

Your delicious produce does not have to go to waste if there are far too many apples for your family to eat.

For the third year running residents of Potton can take part in Potton Apple Day – or Potton Apple Amnesty as it is also known.

This can either be by donating unwanted apples or by joining in on the day.

Any surplus apples without bruises can be taken to the Vege Shop in Potton Market Square.

On Sunday, October 2 the apples will be chopped and pressed into juice in Brook End, Potton.

Everyone is invited to have a go and anyone who brings along clean, empty bottles can take away some scrumptious apple juice.

Additionally there will be apples to taste, apple identification and games. And you can munch on organic pork bacon sandwiches – served with apple sauce.

The fun takes place from 11am to 3pm.
