Big switch-on set for Sandy
After months of meticulous planning the switch-on team is confident the event will be every bit as successful as last year’s and will attract just as many people.
All the stall pitches have been booked and there will be a variety of seasonal crafts, festive foods as well as tombolas and games.

With more schools taking part this year the entertainment will begin at 1pm and continue through to 5.30pm.
The switch-on, performed as usual by Sandy’s Prince and Princess, will happen at 4.30pm. There are also significantly more lights this year.
People of all ages can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon to get into the Christmas spirit.
Seven local schools will be providing musical entertainment and deserve plenty of support as do the other groups and bands who will be at the event.
