A RESTAURANT owner will be donating £200 to a hospital after a successful first night’s trading.

Layek Chowdury, who runs Raj Pooth in Biggleswade Market Square will be giving the money to the Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital.

Layek and his team welcomed a large number of customers into the eaterie on the official opening night on Wednesday (July 27), and the money was raised from bar takings.
