Biggleswade Rotary Club’s fundraising

Biggleswade Rotary Club President, Velma Butcher, presented the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust with a cheque for £1,355 to help patients undergoing therapy at Addenbrooke’s oncology unit in Cambridge.

The day unit at Addenbrooke’s is where patients rest and prepare for various day treatments.

It was for personal and family reasons that President Velma decided to present the proceeds of the annual charity golf day to the trust to help create a more relaxing environment for patients.

Michelle Gray, head of community fundraising for the trust, visited Biggleswade Rotary Club on Tuesday, March 26 at the Stratton House Hotel in Biggleswade to receive the donation.

She expressed her thanks to the rotary club and to all who had contributed to raising the donation.
