Birthday fun with Biggleswade pets

A PET store will be celebrating its first birthday with a charity open day.

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 14) and on Sunday (May 15) there will plenty of fun activities and free entertainment for families at Pets at Home in Biggleswade.

Youngsters can enter the colouring competition and could even win a child-friendly fish tank. They will also enjoy the face painting, balloon modelling and cake sale.

Store manager, Phil Thomas, said: “We always look for ways to get actively involved in the local pet community and support local organisations in raising awareness of responsible pet care in the area.

“The birthday party is our way of saying a big thank you to pet lovers in the area for their support over the last twelve months.

“It has been a real pleasure welcoming the town’s pets and their owners into our store and we’re looking forward to meeting many more in the future.”

There will be free pet workshops from 12pm on both days for anyone interesting in caring for small animals or fish – and other pet care advice.

Throughout the day there will be fundraising for RATS and Support Adoption For Pets.
