Body discovered in river

POSTMORTEM tests are due to be carried out on a man’s body that was found in a river.

Police were called after the body was found in the River Ivel in Clifton at around 11.45am on Wednesday (June 15).

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service were also called to Stanford Lane following the discovery of the body, which police confirmed was a local man in his thirties.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
