Bright outlook for youngsters

Students at an academy enjoyed a visit from a TV weather legend.

BBC weather presenter Michael Fish spent the afternoon with Year 7 youngsters at Robert Bloomfield Academy in Shefford on Wednesday last week.

Flora Hartwell, head of humanities at the academy said: “Simon Wathen the geography teacher has been focusing on the weather in recent classes and he uses Michael Fish as a character, known as ‘The Fish.”

“One day he sent Michael an email about visiting the school and he agreed to come down.

“We had some interesting questions, including where he buys his jumpers from!”
