Bugs in Boots help a hospice

A HOSPICE will benefit from the footfall of more than 50 walkers.

A group of Biggleswade friends, who call themselves the Bugs, will be raising money for St John’s Hospice at Moggerhanger in memory of loved ones who have died of cancer.

Last year they set themselves a Bugs on Bikes 50-mile challenge and raised £7,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

This time they will become Bugs in Boots as they walk from Elstow to Biggleswade.

Tony Wren, who is one of the organisers, said: “Since last year my mother and a couple of friends’ wives have passed away and they all, at some point during treatment, stayed at St John’s.

“We have seen what a tremendous job they do.”
