Charity Christmas party this weekend

As we enter December and move closer to Christmas there is a range of musical entertainment on offer across Chronicle Country this weekend.

Tonight at The Lounge in Biggleswade, Nick Moyster Acoustic will perform his range of covers from 8pm to 10:45pm for free.

The Scallywags will also take to the stage tonight at The Roundabout Club in Sandy from 9pm while Juke will play at Arlesey Football Club from 9pm to 11:30pm.

Both of these events are free.

On Saturday night the Whistle and Flute in Biggleswade will be holding a special Help for Heroes rock night.

The night will include sessions from Paul Adams and friends as well as a disco by the creole roadshow.

Tickets will cost £5 which includes a curry supper and a raffle for various dining experiences around Biggleswade.

Tickets are available from the pub.

Also on Saturday, Mr Rainmaker performs at The Rose in Biggleswade from 9pm and Light Alloy will be at The Rising Sun in Potton from 9pm. Both events are free.

At the Potton and District Club, Heroes Journey, who cover a range of classic rock bands will take to the stage from 9pm with tickets costing £2.

There will also be a big charity Christmas party at Burgoyne Middle School where Almost Abba and DJ Tony Young will be at the event from 7:30pm until midnight.

Tickets cost £5 and are for sale at Potton Tysoe and Potton Co-op.

All proceeds will go to Marie Curie and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
