Collecting for cancer nurses
More than £2,000 has been raised for a cancer charity.
Generous citizens have donated £2,323 to the Biggleswade and District Fundraising Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Collections were made in Biggleswade’s town centre, at ASDA and at Homebase. The money will pay for 116 hours of nursing time in homes in this area.
Overall the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal has seen at 20 per cent increase in donations in Bedfordshire compared to 2011.
