Congregation gathers to mark a parting of the ways
PARISHIONERS gathered at a barbecue to say farewell to their priest.
Canon Michael Griffiths is currently based at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Biggleswade but will be moving to Corby at the end of the month.
Nearly 200 people enjoyed a party and meal at Shortmead House in Biggleswade on Sunday, August 7 after being invited by by Marilyn and Ian Bond. Guests enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi as well as playing outdoor games.
The afternoon ended with the cutting of the cake, which featured good wishes and a portrait of Canon Michael.
He was then presented with a cheque.
