Consultation on plans to grow Edward Peake school
The publication of the statutory proposal follows a consultation, last year which received good support. The proposals are in response to the increasing need for school places in Biggleswade, as a result of additional homes planned for and built in the area.
CBC Executive Member for Families, Education and Children, Cllr Steve Dixon, said: “There is a real need for new school places in Biggleswade to meet the demand that comes with significant housing growth in the area, so following on from a good level of support received for the proposal during our preliminary consultation, we are now progressing to the next stage.”

All responses must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 1 February. At their meeting on 6 April the council’s Executive will consider the results of both consultations and determine the proposed expansion. If approved, the new places are expected to be ready for 2020/21.
