Appeal for witnesses after man assaulted with power saw in Sandy

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in College Road, Sandy, on Friday, March 13.

At around 8pm, a man saw two men with a power saw next to his vehicle, when he confronted them, one of the men assaulted him with the saw.

The victim sustained injuries which required hospital treatment.

The offenders are described as white, about 6ft tall, wearing handkerchiefs covering their faces and baseball caps.

They left towards St Neots Road in a black car.

PC Andrew Mclean, who is investigating, said: “This was a nasty attack by two people and we are keen to speak to anyone who have witnessed the incident.

"We would also like to speak to anyone who might have be in the area at the time and saw the vehicle.”
