On this rare occasion visitors will be able to tour the interior of this mid-18th century house with its panelled rooms, including the Justice Room where once local court cases were decided, the barrelled staircase, the Jacobean Gallery and the Powder Room where men and women had their hair powdered.

Participants will then walk in the riverside grounds, which retain much of their charm from when it was a 35 acre wooded park.

Walkers will see the ironstone dovecote, which is still home to fantail doves.

The walk will start from the TIC at 7pm.

It costs £5.50 per person, payable on booking. To reserve a place visit the TIC, call the TIC on 01767 682728 or email [email protected]
