Dig your way into work with gardening scheme

UNEMPLOYED volunteers are urgently needed for a gardening scheme.

The Diamond Jubilee Central Bedfordshire Volunteer Community Task Force was set up by community stalwart, Ken Lynch, to help older and younger people.

People looking for a job can volunteer to tidy senior citizens’ gardens for free in the Biggleswade and Sandy area.

In return they have experience for their CVs and a reference. Shuttleworth College has also offered the volunteers, who can be of any age, free horticulture training. To volunteer call Ken on 01767 681739.
