Dinner, dancing and more at charity ball

Dinner, dancing and a casino all featured at a hospice’s annual fundraising ball.

More than 200 guests attended the event in aid of St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger, raising around £8,500.

Revellers enjoyed a three-course Italian-style dinner, live music from Midnight Express and a DJ set at the Sharnbrook Hotel.

For those who preferred not to dance a casino was available for a flutter as well.

This year’s theme was ‘enchanted’ and guests enjoyed a bewitching atmosphere with twinkling table decorations and a forest backdrop.

A spokesman for the hospice said: “St John’s Hospice would like to thank all its generous supporters, including those who bid on and donated the wonderful auction prizes, raffle prizes and tombola.

“The fantastic amount raised will go towards the invaluable specialist medical and nursing care which St John’s Hospice provides for the seriously ill patients in its care.”
