Downpour targets festival
FORTY scarecrows were entered into a scarecrow festival and expectations were high – but unfortunately the weather had other ideas.
The rain poured down by the bucket load during Roxton, Chawton and Wyboston’s event on Sunday.
Roxton correspondent, Julie Cox, said: “The weather annihilated us and it was a complete disaster! It was such a shame because the scarecrows were amazing.
“The support was brilliant so as a community event it was fantastic.”
