Event was a real draw
Youngsters at Burgoyne Middle School in Potton could reserve paving slabs in the playground to draw on, in exchange for donations to Comic Relief.
Andrew Davies, art co-ordinator at the school, said: “We had such fun with the fundraising activities for Red Nose Day, we decided to continue with more the following week.

Hide Ad“We raised around £70 through the sponsored art project and £300 for Comic Relief through everything we did.”
The Comic Relief event held at The Oaks Restaurant in Biggleswade, meanwhile raised £950 and was well-attended.
Donations towards the prize draw were also made by businesses including Maxwells, Serendipity, ASK, The Sweet Shoppe, The Lounge, Bridge Street Farm Shop, The Oaks, Coffeelicious, Andromeda Beauty and Flowers by Suzanne.
