Fair sure to get off to a flier!

Legendary RAF display team the Red Arrows will be doing a flypast at a Chronicle Country fair on Saturday (June 29).

The dare devil pilots will be making an appearance at the Meppershall Summer Fair at Foster’s Field.

They will be joined by the RAF’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane (BBMFH), which commemorates the past of the RAF’s Air Combat Power.

The BBMFH will be doing a flypast at 2.05pm, while the Red Arrows will bring proceedings to a close with their flypast at 5.08pm.

The annual event will run from 1pm onwards and will also include stalls, attractions and fun for all the family.

It will help to raise funds for Meppershall Village Hall and entry is free.

The Red Arrows team was formed in late 1964 as an all-RAF team, replacing a number of unofficial teams that had been sponsored by RAF commands.

To date they have performed more than 4,000 displays worldwide in 52 countries.
