Falling to combat injustice

A POLITICS student will be taking a leap of faith for charity.

Eleanor Watters, who goes by the name of Ellie, lives in Sandy High Street when she is not studying at the University of Edinburgh. She will complete a skydive for Amnesty International next month.

Her family have given regular donations to the charity for years but Ellie is the first to complete a sponsored challenge.

She explained that as a student she does not have money for donations and said: “The only thing I can do is fundraising so I decided to do something completely out of the blue.

“Amnesty International really means something to me so I might as well do something that will scare me.

“I’m really looking forward to something new. I’m kind of excited and obviously scared; it’s not normal human behaviour!”

To help her reach her fundraising target when she jumps on Sunday, August 14 visit www.justgiving.com/ellie-watters and donate online.
