Family day promotes baby loss awareness

A MOTHER who lost two babies during pregnancy wants to raise awareness in the community.

Beverly Saunderson hopes that by holding a fun day in Biggleswade she will highlight the work of the Baby Loss Awareness Campaign as well as helping people to talk about these personal tragedies.

Beverly, of Havelock Road in Biggleswade, said: “I lost my son in 2009 and another baby in May this year. People just don’t talk about it and if I say about Baby Loss Awareness they don’t know about it.”

Beverly, 31, intends to hold a family fun day on Saturday, September 17 from noon to 6pm. The location has yet to be confirmed but the Baptist Church in Biggleswade is a possibility.

The money raised will go to Baby Loss Awareness, who will distribute it between different organisations, both for research into causes of death and to help support parents.

Anybody who can help on the day or contribute in anyway or give any ideas can contact Beverly on 01767 312958
