Fighting to reform the care system
SUPPORT an urgent reform for the care system by signing a letter to your MP.
The letter has been organised by the Care and Support Alliance. The Sandy and District Senior Citizens’ Community Support Group is urging people to sign the letter to lobby politicians. The letter describes the current situation as a “care crisis” and states: “Our care system is broken and needs urgent reform. Older and disabled people and their families are going without essential care and often face catastrophic care bills.”
The group will be in Biggleswade Market Square tomorrow (Saturday, January 14) from 10am to noon and they will pass on all signed letters to North East Beds MP Alistair Burt. They will visit other towns later in the month. Cold calling information will also be available.
