Fir tree festival for Christmas

This favourite seasonal decoration was celebrated in Arlesey with a Christmas tree festival at St Peter’s Church.

Families came to admire the 54 beautiful trees on Saturday (December 15) and Sunday (December 16).

Votes were taken for the best trees

The first prize went to King’s Baptist Church in Stotfold’s tree, which was created by Lorna Grant and Jacqueline Mitchell. Their theme was A Countryside Walk.

Second place went to Katie Juffs from Walks for Health with her tree on the theme of Walking in a Winter Wonderland.

Arlesey Methodist Church’s tree by Ann and Doreen Archer came in third place with the theme of Celebrating 2012.
