Fireworks and fundraising too

VISITORS to a forthcoming fireworks night can help raise money for a hospice.

For the first time ever Sue Ryder Care at St John’s Hospice, Moggerhanger is running its own firework night, which is being sponsored by the Biggleswade Chronicle.

The event, which is taking place at Biggleswade Town Football Club in Langford Road on Friday, November 4 could raise up to £10,000 for the hospice.

The hospice cares for patients aged 18 and over who are suffering from illnesses including cancer, heart, lung and liver diseases, multiple sclerosis and end-of-life illnesses.

Event goers are being urged to buy their tickets in advance, priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children under 14 years old.

A £5 ticket can provide the funds to provide meals for one patient for one day.

For every two adult and two child tickets purchased this could help to pay for a complimentary therapy session for someone who is living with cancer.
