Fireworks to light up Chronicle Country

Edward Peake Middle School will put on their annual firework extravaganza on Saturday, November 8. Gates to the event will open at 6pm while the display starts at 7pm.

Tickets purchased in advance will cost £15 for a family, £5 for an adult or £3 for a child or old age pensioner. Tickets will also be available on the gate.

A week earlier on November 1, the first annual Sandy scouts bonfire and firework display will take place from 6:30pm.

The event at the Sandpit, Cambridge Road, in Sandy will see the fireworks go off at 7:30pm.

Tickets in advance will cost £5 while on the day they will be £8. Children under five years old get in for free.

Tickets are on sale at the Tourist Information Centre, the Post Office Shop, Bridge Farm Shop, the Queen’s Head, Londis and Mama’s Coffee Shop.

Blunham will also hold their own display on November 1 from 6pm.

There will be a bonfire and fireworks on Blunham playing Fields on Barford Road.

Gates open at 6pm with fireworks set for lift off at 7pm. Tickets are £5 for adults and under 16s go free but must be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of three per family.

There will also be a barbecue, bar and hot drinks.

Gamlingay fireworks will take place on Sunday, November 2 at the Eco Hub on Stocks Lane from 4:30pm.

The sky will be alight with colourful and exciting fireworks set to music. There will be a barbecue, soup, jacket potatoes, cake, treats and other refreshments available.

Tickets are £4 in advance (£5 on the gate) while children under three get in for free. Tickets are available from Gamlingay First School, Londis, the Eco Hub and the Wood View Farm Shop.

As if this wasn’t enough choice there is another display at Moggerganger Park on November 1.

The evening starts at 5:30pm and runs until 8pm with the main display kicking off at 7pm.

There is free parking, fun rides, entertainment and food stalls.

Another event on at the same time is the winter fair and fireworks display at Meppershall Village Hall.
