Flight simulation at training camp

The youngsters from the 22 (Sandy) Squadron visited RAF St Mawgan in Cornwall.

The camp saw the cadets involved in many activities throughout the week including visits to the Eden Project, Falmouth maritime museum and a local aircraft museum.

The cadets also took part in first aid training, laser tag and rifle training. They also spent one day relaxing on the nearby beach.

A highlight for Cadet Peter Hessey was using the flight simulator at the station.

He said: “It was an amazing week with some really great people, loads of new experiences and lots of opportunities.

“It was definitely worth it and I would eagerly go again.”
