Fun for all ages as colourful carnival is held

The Biggleswade Carnival took place last week and was once again a big success with many residents atttending.

The results of the competitions throughout the Carnival 2015 were as follows:

Darts Winners were Lee Smith and Mikey Reed. Runners-up were Brian Aris and Mark Kingdom.

Quiz winners were the Liberal Club. Second place was the BBC (Biggleswade Baptist Church) Six.

Bingo winner of £100 prize was Peter Dean.

Crib winners were Jane and Barry from the Wheatsheaf, Avril and Michael, Dan and Chris from the Gardener’s Arms.

All prizes were claimed over five races at the duck races.

The Whimsical quiz and the race night were both held at the Gardener’s Arms, there were lots of winners.

The winners at the Grand draw which took place on Sunday were: first place Jean Wright, second place V Webb and third place P Ekiert. There were 55 other prizes and everyone has been contacted.

The pride of procession went to the Biggleswade scouts. First places: Biggleswade fire brigade, dreams, Perfect 10 Salon, Shefford Majorettes, Dunton Youth Club, Biggleswade Sea Cadets, Lawnside School, Coach and Horses/Potton brewery.

All other floats: Biggleswade Academy, Dunton pre-school, Pirouettes and Pullbacks, treetops nursery, Ivel sprinter, Edward Peake School, Biggleswade Churches together and the Splash Park.

Judges were Paul Smart, Eddie Wing, Cllr North, Barbara and Sharon and Teresa.
