Fun fur all at dog show

A FUNDRAISING dog show attracted people and their pooches from around Chronicle Country.

The Bedfordshire Growers field in Potton Road, Biggleswade was the venue for the Sit and Stay Pet Services (SSPS) fun dog show.

Sandy-based SSPS provides dog grooming, pet sitting and animal care services.

Funds which were raised at the event – which are still being calculated – will go towards the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue charity, which finds new homes for unwanted dogs.

Dog owners and their pets could take part in a variety of different classes and activities, and all breeds were welcome.

There were pedigree, novelty and obedience classes, an obstacle course and a range of other attractions and activities.

Volunteer Jenny Gillett, who helped to organise the show said: “The weather wasn’t brilliant but we had a fairly good turnout.

“We had dogs of all breeds and some even came in fancy dress.

“There will be another similar event in September and we will be announcing the date in due course.”

Show goers could also buy hot food and refreshments and visit different stalls.
