Generous donation comes from footballers
A RESIDENTIAL home has benefited from a generous donation made by a football charity.
On Monday The Friends of Abbotsbury Care Home in Mead End, Biggleswade received a visit from three members of the North Beds Charity Cup competition who handed over a £1,000 cheque.
The money was raised at the various qualifying football matches. It was also raised in the final.
The cup competition is held annually and this has now been the case for 103 years.
