The river and its associated streams and ditches, are important for a whole range of issues, including agriculture, drainage, wildlife – and for recreation and enjoyment.

There are many ways residents can assist in helping to look after these important watercourses and the Upper and Bedford Ouse Catchment Partnership, with support from Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC), are hosting two training sessions in Biggleswade.

The sessions are designed to give an update on issues facing the river, the work of the Catchment Partnership and highlight the way in which you can assist in this work. The sessions are designed for people to attend both, but if you can only get to one, you are welcome to go along.

The indoor session will be at Biggleswade Baptist Church hall, 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Tuesday, March 22. The outdoor session is on Sunday, April 10, at Biggleswade Common, 10am until 12.30pm, meeting at the Dan Albone Car Park.
