Golfer’s challenge fore a good cause

Les Dimmock, captain at Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Lower Stondon spent 13 and a half hours on the course during a marathon round on Wednesday, June 15 raising more than £800 for Keech Hospice Care.

The hospice – which provides palliative care for adults and children with life-limiting and terminal illnesses – is the club’s designated charity this year.

Les said: “As a club we have organised various fundraising events this year but I was also keen to do something myself too.”
