This will pave the way for the new expanded Thameslink network of 2018 and includes improvements on the Great Northern route which many Chronicle Country residents use.

The consultation focuses primarily on the initial changes to off-peak services in December 2015 but also gives an indication of proposals for future changes throughout the franchise culminating with the final timetable change during 2018 once the full £6.5 billion Thameslink Programme works are complete.

The main focus will be on improving performance and delay recovery.

GTR operates the Thameslink (Bedford to Brighton, Sutton and Wimbledon) and Great Northern (London to Peterborough, Cambridge and King’s Lynn) rail services.
