Grant given for young swimmers
YOUNG swimmers will be able to swim for a lower cost thanks to a grant.
Sandy Town Council has agreed to give £480 to the Sandy Young People’s Youth Club to subsidise swimming during the summer holidays.
Club members will be able to swim from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Sandye Place Academy on Tuesday evenings for just £2 each. Project co-ordinator, Ken Lynch, said he is delighted with the council’s decision.
