Grants for war veterans to return to their place of service
VETERANS from the Second World War can return to the sites where they served.
The Heroes Return 2 programme offers them grants to cover travel costs and accommodation expenses to return to the sites in the UK and across the world.
The deadline for applications has now been extended to Tuesday, January 31 2012.
Veterans who fought with or alongside British forces can apply, as can war widows, widowers of veterans and carers and spouses who would need to travel with the veterans.
