Green for schools

Schools in Central Beds have reduced their energy use by five million kWh.

This is a 11.43 per cent decrease and it has collectively saved the schools more than £250,000, equivalent to £2,000 per school.

The schools have been working with Central Beds Council to encourage them to ‘think green.’

Changes range from switching off lights to installing solar panels and smart meters.
