Guide dog charity to benefit from a tandem skydive

A holistic massage therapist has raised more than £800 for charity.

Hannah King, who has lived in Biggleswade all her life, jumped out of a plane for a sponsored tandem skydive at the North London Skydiving Centre.

The 18-year-old was raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

She said: “It’s an amazing charity, which works with both blind and partially sighted people in order to give them the same amount of freedom as everyone else.

“It costs around £50,000 to support just one guide dog throughout its lifetime and the charity receives no government funding.”

Hannah was supported by BigglesFM, everyone who took part in a street collection in Biggleswade and her sponsors.

She added: “I would also like to say a big thanks to Lloyd Quenby, my tandem skydiving instructor on the day, who made the experience an unforgettable one!”
