Helping in all months
IT’S almost yuletide, when many people are filled with the urge to help others who are less fortunate.
Though this is a brilliant thing to do one the Biggleswade Volunteer Centre is asking people to help others all year round and not just at Christmas.
Rebecca Baber, centre manager, said: “Over the Christmas period my phone goes crazy with calls from people who want to volunteer over the festive period. It’s not just at Christmas that people need a friendly face and a leg up the ladder to normality, employment, friends and all those other things we take for granted. Volunteers are needed all year round.”
