Hole in Thurston pavement four months on
The hole in the pavement at Heather Close appeared some four months ago but, despite placing a barrier around it, no work has been done, she said.
Mrs Hobart was pleased to see someone come out to look at the matter on Friday but by Wednesday no action had been taken, although a cover had been placed across the hole and bollards placed around it again.

A spokesman for Suffolk County Council said it was notified on March 28 and placed safety barriers around it within 24 hours. But contractors encountered water and electricity which hindered progress. A storm drain was out of alignment and soil passing into the drain caused the pavement to collapse. Staff absences and operational demands meant they could only resume work on Wednesday but it was expected to be completed within the week
