Ross Little, who initially came up with the idea has also seen some initial support from Biggleswade Town Council who will discuss the idea at their next Public Lands and Open Space committee meeting in June.

Ross said: “I love taking our kids to the splash park in Stevenage and realised this is something that would also massively benefit our Biggleswade community.

“Also after seeing a post on the Facebook group ‘We Love Biggleswade’ it was clear that many parents wanted a splash park in Biggleswade so I started the campaign.

“Biggleswade is a growing town with many young families. It would give the kids a fantastic location to run around and play in the summer months while spending quality time with their family and friends.

The nearest splash parks are currently in Stevenage or Letchworth which is inconvenient for some residents.

Ross is hoping the council will support the cause and and provide funding.
