Jayne’s views earn her a distinction

SEASCAPES and landscapes are the preferred subjects of one flourishing photographer.

Jayne Odell has just been awarded an associateship distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.

The 41-year-old from Gamlingay said: “Photography takes up most of my spare time and I’m absolutely thrilled with the associateship.”

She had to put together a portfolio of 15 pictures that worked as a cohesive piece and also as individual photographs.

Explaining her style, the Church Street resident said: “I do low light photography. I’m out in the early hours of the morning, leaving for location at about 3am to be there for sunrise. In the hour before sunrise and after sunset the light is much softer – it’s called the golden hour.”
